Medical Emergency Access Plan (MEAP)

The Medical Emergency Action Plan (MEAP), as defined by the Football Association (FA), is a comprehensive strategy designed to ensure swift and effective response to medical emergencies during football matches or related events. It serves as a structured framework outlining the necessary steps to be taken in the event of injuries, sudden illnesses, or other medical crises that may occur on the field

Meap Meaps Mission

Help plan to ensure the safety of players in the event of a medical emergency at a sports event.

In the heat of competition, every second counts. That's why the Football Association (FA) recommends that all football clubs have a MEAP in place for all training sessions and events. However, creating and maintaining these plans can be time-consuming and challenging. Recognizing this need, we've established Meap Meap as a platform where teams can easily discover existing plans, saving valuable time and effort.

How It Works:

Whether you're a seasoned coach, a dedicated club welfare officer, or a concerned parent, Meap Meap is your go-to resource. Simply search for location of the event, and if a MEAP already exists, access it instantly. No need to reinvent the wheel; benefit from the collective knowledge and experience of others. You can also download and print the plan to keep in your first aid bag or on the sidelines for quick reference.

Contributing to Safety:

Our platform isn't just about accessing existing plans; it's also about collaboration and community. If you don't find a MEAP for your team or event, you have the power to create one. Share your expertise and insights to help others prepare for emergencies effectively.

About Us:

Meap Meap is a passion project developed by a dedicated club welfare officer and father who understands firsthand the importance of youth player safety. As a non-profit initiative, our focus remains solely on ensuring that every athlete has access to the resources they need to stay safe on the field.

How we use your data

Meap Meap will anonamously collect analytics information to understand how many people are using the site and which areas are of most interest. For this purpose we use Vercel Analytics rather then Google or Microsoft.

If you do decide to sign up and login then we will use a session identifier, but we will not use this for any form of analytics or tracking.

When you sign up with a service such as Google we will ONLY use your Name and Email address if you add a MEAP or to check if you are the author of a MEAP. When you do add a MEAP we store your name and email address with the MEAP. This is so we know who created it and can forward any comments to you or email you to ask for clarification before publishing the MEAP.

We use Auth0 to handle user authentication. This means that we never see your password and only receive a token that contains minimal information, including your name, email address, url for your avatar and id. Of this information we will use the name and email address so that we know who created a MEAP and will use your name, email address and avatar image to display on the top of the web page.

We want to collect as little information about you as possible and promise to be completely open and transparent about any data usage. If you wish to have your data removed from the service then please contact ztolley@exsiteconsultants.com. We will remove all meaps associated with you and any anaytics data is automatically deleted after 24hrs.
